Révélation
Heritage only matters if it continues to live.
Some stories deserve to be told. Others deserve to be played again.
The REVELATION was born from that belief. Its design is based on original ASBA blueprints, manufacturing methods, and archives preserved since the 1950s. Not to recreate the past exactly as it was, but to revive what made those instruments so distinctive: their musicality, their sensitivity, and the unmistakable warmth of thin shells.
Its new shell recipe — 3-ply Mahogany / Basswood / Mahogany — brings back that unique balance of warmth, projection, and harmonic richness. Every nuance is preserved. Every stroke finds its place naturally, from the softest ghost note to the most powerful backbeat.
The hardware, however, has evolved. More precise, more reliable, and more stable, it meets the expectations of today’s drummers while remaining true to the sonic identity that made the REVELATION legendary.
Versatile without ever losing its personality, it feels equally at home in intimate studio sessions and on the biggest stages. This is not a snare drum that tries to recreate an era—it carries forward a century of ASBA craftsmanship into the present day.
Like every instrument that leaves our workshop in Lyon, each REVELATION is built to order, stamped with the date of its final assembly, and hand-signed by the craftsman who built it.
