Over the years, Guillaume Nouaux has established himself as a renowned specialist in classic jazz (New Orleans, swing, bebop, etc.) and is now widely regarded as one of the leading jazz drumming experts in Europe.

A key figure on the international jazz scene, Guillaume Nouaux has established himself as a leading reference in the genre, performing on the most prestigious stages and jazz festivals across Europe and around the world.

A passionate and innovative musician, Guillaume Nouaux has developed a unique style, deeply rooted in the tradition of the great jazz masters, while infusing it with his own artistic signature. As a bandleader, several of his albums have been critically acclaimed and honored with prestigious awards, including the Académie du Jazz Prize (2011, 2020) and the Hot Club de France Prize (2014, 2019, 2020, 2023).

Widely praised by the international press, his work has resonated with audiences in Europe, the United States, Russia, Japan, Australia, and beyond. As an educator, he is the author of several authoritative books on jazz drumming (Jazz Drums Legacy and Jazz Brushes, published by Éditions 2Mc; La naissance de la batterie: les origines de la batterie et les premiers batteurs à La Nouvelle-Orléans, published by Frémeaux et Associés, among others) and regularly gives lectures and masterclasses on the subject.

With an impressive discography of over one hundred albums, he has collaborated with many renowned artists, including Chuck Berry, Donald Harrison, Steve Lacy, Harry Allen, Scott Hamilton, Red Holloway, Bob Wilber, Scott Robinson, Evan Christopher, Ken Peplowski, Victor Goines, Leroy Jones, Warren Vaché, Wycliffe Gordon, John Allred, Dan Barrett, Lucien Barbarin, Nicki Parrott, Howard Alden, Don Vappie, Cécile McLorin Salvant, Didier Lockwood, Jason Marsalis, David Torkanowsky, Dado Moroni, and Butch Thompson.
