ASBA artist – Rozedale

Open to the 4 winds, Guillaume navigates between rock and African trance music.

Guillaume Pihet was born in April 1978 and began playing drums at the age of 9. In 2000, he joined the Music Academy International in Nancy (France), graduating top of his class with unanimous honors. Since then, he has been a regular lecturer at the Academy, teaching how to adapt ethnic rhythms to drums in a contemporary music context.

He has written 3 methods: “Entre tradition et systèmes”, ‘Afropulsation’, “Triplet control for the snare drum” and records teaching videos for Batterie Magazine. He performs numerous demos in France and Europe. He has toured and recorded with ROZEDALE, AZIZ SAHMAOUI & University of Gnawa, GRAND MEDIA BLACKOUT, FAÏKA, LANSINE DIABATE, CHIMENEA... He is currently touring Europe with ROZEDALE (latest album “Anywhere far Away” released in December 2023).

In 2023, he created his own percussion brand: HACANG Percussions.
