Rémi SERAFINO
ASBA artist – Igorrr
Rémi Serafino has established himself as a key figure in the extreme music scene, combining precision with intensity. With Igorrr, he embodies a modern and fearless approach to drumming at the crossroads of genres and aesthetics.
Rémi Serafino is the drummer of Igorrr, a truly unique project that fuses Metal, Breakcore, Baroque, and traditional music. Immersed in music from an early age, he discovered the drums at the age of 12 and quickly devoted himself to mastering the instrument. Studying with Christian Grassart while also pursuing an autodidactic path, he refined his style by drawing inspiration from drumming icons such as Mario Duplantier, Dave Lombardo, Franky Costanza, Eloy Casagrande, and Jamie Saint Merat. Their raw power and intensity deeply influenced his own approach, shaping the cathartic dimension of his playing.
With Igorrr, Rémi delivers a performance that is powerful, precise, and deeply expressive, perfectly suited for a music without boundaries. His extensive touring across Europe and the United States has forged an intense live experience, where each concert becomes a total performance. On the album Amen, he delivers drumming that is both technically demanding and musically visceral, cementing his central role in the band’s singular universe.
As an ASBA artist, he represents a new generation of drummers for whom the instrument is more than music: it is liberation and pure expression.
“Choosing ASBA was a no-brainer. They blend French elegance with exceptional craftsmanship. My Simone and Metal kits are by far the most refined and personal instruments I’ve ever played.”
