Robin Vernay is a session drummer and musical director working between France and the United Kingdom. Trained at the Institute of Contemporary Music Performance, he performs on international tours and records in renowned studios such as Abbey Road Studios. He currently plays an ASBA Metal kit, known for its projection, precision, and character.
Robin Vernay is a session drummer, musical director, and music producer, working between France and the United Kingdom. He graduated from the Institute of Contemporary Music Performance in London in 2018 and began his career in England, quickly performing with several recognized projects such as APRE (UK and European tours), Kay Young (British festivals and stages), and later The Woodgies (European stages).
He is currently on an international tour with the band Saults, where his unique sense of groove blends finesse, precision, and musicality. His performances clearly demonstrate his ability to meet the standards of a large-scale professional show.
Over the years, he has collaborated on numerous recordings in prestigious studios such as Abbey Road Studios and Urchin Studios.
Today, he runs his own home studio, Le Nid Sonore, where he leads remote drum recording projects. At the same time, Robin is the director of the Drum Academy, a drum school located in Loisin, Haute-Savoie.
Robin Vernay perfectly embodies the DNA of ASBA. He currently plays the Metal model kit (10, 12, 14, 16, 22), renowned for its powerful projection, clear attack, organic warmth, and the excellence of the craftsmanship that defines ASBA.
