Created in collaboration with Arthur Dubois and the Japanese brand POSCA, this ultra-limited edition embodies a radically different vision of the snare drum: a musical instrument transformed into a collector’s piece.
Each shell was entirely designed and handcrafted in our Lyon workshop following exclusive specifications developed alongside Arthur Dubois. Once completed by our drum makers, the ten units were individually sent to Arthur, who hand-customized each one using POSCA markers directly on the wood, turning every instrument into an original artwork.
Every piece is unique.
This 12” × 4.5” snare drum is built from a 6-ply shell combining beech and European sycamore maple, with a 9/10 mm thickness and a lacquer finish. Each unit is then hand-painted with POSCA and protected by a satin varnish, creating a result that is raw, artistic, and unmistakably high-end.
The inner veneer is crafted from black dyed figured sycamore, adding a rare and refined visual signature down to the finest details.
Only eight units are available for sale worldwide.
Number 1 belongs to Arthur Dubois. Number 10 will remain part of the ASBA heritage collection.
The remaining eight pieces represent the entirety of this series.
Designed equally for collectors and musicians, this snare drum remains a true professional instrument, fully playable and built with the same acoustic standards as our Custom Shop models.
